Update (July 21-August 20)

The end of summer is approaching and the busy time of internet marketing is near. It's exciting because the work that is put in during the summer months will pay off in the fall.

I've been spending time submitting to link directories, article directories, blog posting, safelist advertising, clicking on TE's, posting in forums and submitting classifieds.

This months update is about the same as last except I will start to include how many subscribers I get from people filling out the form on my Golden Ticket website.

Here are my stats for the month:

PIPS Newsletter sign ups: 32; SFI: 20 with 2 upgrades; Golden Ticket Prospects: 30 (a few have since opted out).

I started a new blog for my Shaklee Business which you can view by clicking the banner below. I had to edit it a bit since we cannot name the products. Not a problem, I just edited it and it's fine. It's amazing to see my posts hit #1 in Google after less than an hour.

That's it for now!

Update (May 20-June20)

This month has been slow, to say the least. I haven't been doing the activities that I should be in order to build back links and get more traffic to my site.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still doing something almost every day, but I should be doing more.

In the PIPS Power Group Forum there is a contest going one for summer. The one with the most improvement will win the prize. The members there are doing well and I wish I was doing as well.

I have been submitting my site to link directories, surfing traffic exchanges a bit (not nearly enough), submitting articles to directories (I have to get writing some more), blogging a little bit and participating in forums.

Here are my stats: Newsletter signups: 70; SFI: 12; Shaklee: 8 in my downline since joining Feb 22 (this has earned me a check 3 out of 4 months). Since my last update I've had people drop out of PIPS or let their credit card decline for the hosting, so that means I'm down to 2 PIPS signups again. It's too bad that people think this business is going to bring them instant riches! Oh well, on to the next.

I just try and remind myself that if I want this business to bring me success, then I have to put the work and effort into it!!

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

It looks like that statement is true for me. In the last week or so things have really started to come together. There are a couple things I have been doing different that I can attribute to this change of direction for my home business.

I joined a mentoring group which has given very valuable information and tips on how to get my business on the road to success. I mentioned this group in a previous post. I've been getting more visits from the search engines.

I watched "The Secret" and really started to try to think positive and believe that I deserve success. I don't think I believe I can just wish for a car and it'll come out of mid air, but just believing in the fact that I can do this business and be successful will bring to me all the things I want in life eventually. In the previous months I was becoming negative and discouraged, even though I was not going to quit.

I've expanded my business with Shaklee and I'm looking forward to success with this also. My sister started a couple years ago but I never got into it until she really started making some cash lol. I'm glad I did though, especially using the non-toxic products since 3 of my 4 children have allergies/asthma.

My stats for this month go as follows: 21 newsletter subscribers; SFI 11; Empowerism 2; LAB 6; Traffic Swarm 4; Host4Profit 4 (3 being full PIPS signups); 1 member placed under me in Shaklee, which earns me a $50 bonus.

This is getting really exciting and I can't tell you how grateful I am to be able to be doing this for myself and my family.

It's a Brand New Year

Wow, another year has passed us by and it's time to think about what we want this year to be. I plan to go full speed ahead with my home business. I admit the last few months were not spent doing what I needed to do to bring my business forward. I only have myself to blame for any lack of success.

This year I plan to do double duty with submitting to link directories, article submissions and traffic exchanges. I have been fairly regular with my home business blog. I will also be researching new ways to advertise my business.

Here are my stats for the last 2.5 months:

Newsletter subscribers have increased by 135, although some have unsubnscribed since then. Referrals in my various programs go like this: SFI 1; LAB 4; NPN 1; Hits2U 1; Traffic Swarm 4. I know, I know, it looks bad, but it's my own fault!! I didn't work the business like it needed to be worked. I'm hoping this year will bring better results and you will be the first to know!

How Much Time to Spend On Business

It seems like I'm on the computer from sun up to sun down! I think in the beginning or until things get going a lot of time is required to start the wheels of a business rolling. I spend my days submitting articles, blogging, clicking on the traffic exchanges, and posting in forums. A schedule is important but it seems I can't get a set schedule down right now. I'm on and off through out the whole day. My kids get what they need and then I'm back on the computer.

You know what takes up the most time? Those pesky traffic exchanges! I have to click continuously or my credits go down and I have to catch up all over again. I try to spend at least an hour of continuous clicking a day. I think I spend more time than that though. It takes a while to get the credits up. I also notice that if I don't click I don't get many hits to my sites. All along I thought I was building up credits so my site could be seen while I was away. When I click a lot I can get over a hundred views but when I don't I get maybe 10!!

It defeats the purpose of building credits, I think. I want my site seen when I can't click! Oh well, it gives me a reason to click every day. Can you tell I'm not too fond of this whole clicking thing? I seem to post about it a lot lol.

I tried the article submission, as I wrote about in an earlier post, but it doesn't seem to have done much so far. I got one confirmation and my links have not went up significantly. Hopefully soon they will. My links go up and down a lot. I should only check it once a month so I don't see so much fluctuation. Google is so hard for links. I had 7 then it went down to 1 then it when up to 7 again and now it's at 5. I think I should have more than that. When I do a search lots come up and a lot of higher PR sites have my link.

I still have not gotten a sign up for PIPS but I know it's coming soon. I'm still remaining positive and I still love the program. I've learned so much from it. My day is around the corner and believe me you'll hear about it lol.
